The Company must process personal data (including<br />sensitive personal data) so that it can provide these services &ndash; in doing so, the Company acts as a data<br />controller.<br />You may give your personal details to Grad2Teach directly, such as on an application or registration<br />form or via our website, or we may collect them from another source such as a jobs board. Purpose of processing and legal basis<br />Grad2Teach will collect your personal data (which may include sensitive personal data) and will<br />process your personal data for the purposes of providing you with paid training services. This includes,<br />for example, contacting you about work and training opportunities, assessing your suitability for those<br />opportunities, updating our databases, putting you forward for opportunities, arranging payments to<br />you and developing and managing our services and relationship with you and our school and university<br />partners.<br />If you have opted-in we may also send you marketing information and news via email/text. You can<br />opt-out from receiving these any time by clicking &ldquo;unsubscribe&rdquo; when you receive these<br />communications from us.<br />In some cases we may be required to use your data for the purpose of investigating, reporting and<br />detecting crime and also to comply with laws that apply to us. We may also use your information<br />during the course of internal audits to demonstrate our compliance with certain industry standards.<br />We must have a legal basis to process your personal data. Overseas Transfers<br />Grad2Teach may transfer the information you provide to us to countries outside of the European<br />Economic Area (EEA) for the purposes of providing you with work-finding services. We will take steps<br />to ensure adequate protections are in place to ensure the security of your information. The EEA<br />comprises the EU member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.<br />4. Data retention<br />Grad2Teach will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose we collect<br />it. Different laws may also require us to keep different data for different periods of time. For example,<br />the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, require us to<br />keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date<br />on which we last provide you with work-finding services.<br />We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records<br />for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and<br />tax legislation. We will hold this data for 7 years.<br />We will keep personal data obtained from job boards that we subscribe to for 18 months from the<br />date it was obtained. The reason for this is that trends in education show that candidates are more<br />than likely to change jobs within the year. We will therefore contact you within that period about<br />job opportunities. If we have no meaningful contact with you after this period, your data will be<br />deleted.<br />We will retain safeguarding information indefinitely. Our mission is simple but powerful: to build a <strong data-start="512" data-end="565">more accessible, sustainable, and inclusive route</strong> into teaching&mdash;one that reflects the diversity of the communities our schools serve.</p><p class="" data-start="651" data-end="1013">Before founding Grad2Teach, I built a career in <strong data-start="699" data-end="724">education recruitment</strong>, working closely with schools across the UK. Over time, I saw the same challenges arise again and again: rising recruitment costs, falling teacher retention, and limited pathways into the classroom for people from diverse or working-class backgrounds. I knew there had to be a better way.</p><p class="" data-start="1015" data-end="1355">Driven by my experience as a <strong data-start="1044" data-end="1063">father of three</strong> and a <strong data-start="1070" data-end="1097">primary school governor</strong>, I created Grad2Teach to offer a <strong data-start="1131" data-end="1151">real alternative</strong>&mdash;one that works for both schools and aspiring teachers. We help schools find and develop talented individuals who want to train on the job, <strong data-start="1291" data-end="1319">earning while they learn</strong>, and making an impact from day one.</p><p class="" data-start="1357" data-end="1635">I&rsquo;m especially passionate about ensuring that <strong data-start="1403" data-end="1486">teacher training is not just for those who can afford to work unpaid for a year</strong>. Armed with a BA in Sports Coaching and Development from Solent University, Tom&rsquo;s background in Cricket, Swimming, Golf and a smorgasbord of other sports isn&rsquo;t just impressive&mdash;it&rsquo;s like having a mini-Olympics on his resume.</p><p>Before joining Grad2Teach, Tom worked his magic as a Partnerships Executive at Super League Triathlon, where he perfected the art of convincing people to spend money to advertise in front of athletes that swim, bike, and run ridiculously short distances at 100mph for fun.&nbsp;</p><p>Tom&rsquo;s coaching gig at Harris Academy Wimbledon made him realize that herding miniature cricket players isn&rsquo;t much different from managing trainees. Both require patience, a good sense of humor, and the ability to dodge the occasional flying object.&nbsp; His passion for sports and its positive impact on health, education, and social inclusion drives his commitment to matching trainees with their "forever schools," ensuring they thrive and make a lasting impact. Tom&rsquo;s ability to build strategic relationships and engage diverse audiences makes him adept at understanding the needs of schools and the potential of trainees.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
