About the Role

About You 

We are seeking a motivated aspiring teacher, trainee educator, or future English teacher with a passion for literature and academic excellence.

You will:

  • Hold (or be working toward) a degree in English or a closely related subject

  • Have strong academic writing and communication skills

  • Be reflective, reliable, and intellectually curious

  • Enjoy working with motivated secondary and sixth form students

  • Be committed to progressing through a structured teacher training programme

Experience in tutoring, mentoring, debating, or academic enrichment is advantageous but not essential.

Training & Progression

  • Completion of Phase One, leading to a Level 4 qualification with Grad2Teach

  • Training aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and national Teaching Standards

  • Structured mentoring, lesson observations, and professional development

  • Progression to Phase Two, with increased responsibility and independent teaching

  • Opportunity to complete a PGCE with Coventry University, leading to QTS
