SALARIED TEACHER TRAINING COURSE
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Come Train With Us
We are a Salaried Teacher Training provider offering a unique two-phased approach. We're committed to being inclusive, supportive and comprehensive in our training.
-
In Phase One you will work at your own pace to complete an Accreditation in Preparing for Teacher Training, while working full time in a school
-
In Phase Two you will complete a salaried PGCE in partnership with The National Institute of Teaching and Education, while working full time as a class teacher.
WHY GRAD2TEACH?

SUPPORT FOR TRAINEES
Grad2Teach offers bespoke support for trainee teachers.
We realise that it can be difficult training on the job and have put in support that starts as soon as you are accepted onto the programme.
SUPPORT NETWORK
All trainees enrolled on the programme will be given access to our online CPD platform and encouraged to join our trainee network where ideas, notable experiences and any problems can be openly discussed. As a small team, we pay close attention to all of our trainees and offer unrivalled support as you go through your journey to obtaining Qualified Teacher Status.
NETWORKING EVENTS
As well as training sessions and regular observations, we at Grad2Teach encourage positive collaboration through face to face meetings and events. These include summer socials as well as half-termly group sessions where trainees are all invited to get together and talk about successes, challenges and/or problems they’re having on the course in a safe environment without fear of judgement.
TERMLY SCHOOL VISITS
Throughout the programme and during your school placements, you will receive ongoing support from your personal consultant, as well as your trainer, mentor and fellow trainees. Your trainer will visit you at school throughout the year, meaning schools, mentors and trainees will be given the time to openly discuss anything notable about your development – positive or negative – in a safe and constructive environment.
SUPPORT FROM A LEADING UNIVERSITY
In addition to the training days, our academic partner, The National School of Education and Teaching, provides our trainees with personal tutors who work closely with placement schools to ensure that trainees are supported throughout the Grad2Teach programme. The University can provide the advice, support and guidance required to successfully complete the PGCE programme and gain Qualified Teacher Status at the end of the course.
REQUIREMENTS
As a two-phased programme, we don’t need you to have everything in place before you start with us.
We can use Phase One of our programme to acquire any missing academic qualifications while also getting you valuable teaching experience, training and a salary!

We are very proud to be working in partnership with Coventry University’s National School of Education & Teaching. The University has achieved the highest rating of Gold in the Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), and consistently ranks in the top 15 Universities in the Guardian’s Good University Guide.
The University’s National PGCE programme enables our trainees to learn and train ‘on the job’, whilst gaining first-hand experience of teaching and drawing a salary. As a national programme trainees can learn their craft in a location that suits them, receiving regular support from a dedicated personal tutor and uploading assignments to an online system for assessment. Along with this, the National PGCE has multiple start points throughout the academic year, so we can offer trainee positions in the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms.
