Trainee Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE)
Partnerships Co-ordinator
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping young people explore life’s biggest questions?
Join an ambitious Bedfordshire secondary school as a Trainee Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) through the Grad2Teach Salaried Teacher Training Programme — a route designed to let you earn while you learn.
This is your opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE with the support of experienced mentors and our university partner, Coventry University. You’ll start by assisting in lessons, gradually building your teaching timetable as your confidence and skills grow.
Our two-phase training programme provides:
-
A salaried placement within a thriving, inclusive secondary school
-
Support in completing a PGCE with QTS
-
Structured professional development aligned with the Core Content Framework
-
Regular mentor guidance and in-school experience without the pressure of a full timetable at the start
-
The chance to make a meaningful difference to students’ understanding of ethics, philosophy, and world religions
This role is perfect for graduates with a background in Philosophy, Theology, Religious Studies, Education, Sociology, or related fields, who are ready to inspire curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking in the next generation.
If you believe in creating classrooms where discussion thrives and every student’s perspective is valued, apply now to begin your teaching journey through Grad2Teach.
