About the Role

About the Role

A welcoming and supportive primary school in North London is looking for a motivated aspiring teacher to join their team as a Phase One Trainee Teacher through the Grad2Teach salaried teacher training programme.

In this graduate-level primary support role, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, gain hands-on classroom exposure, and begin your journey toward qualified teacher status. While developing your confidence in supporting lessons, small groups, and individual learners, you will also be working toward your Level 4 NCFE customised qualification, delivered as part of Grad2Teach’s structured Phase One training.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about primary education, eager to learn, and seeking a clear pathway into the teaching profession via salaried teacher training.

About You

You may be a recent graduate, teaching assistant, or career changer looking for a purposeful role where you can make a difference. As an aspiring teacher or graduate trainee, you will bring:

  • A genuine passion for working with children

  • A strong desire to train as a primary teacher

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills

  • A positive attitude and a commitment to learning

  • Reliability, resilience, and a reflective approach to development

Whether you have school experience or are completely new to education, this Phase One support position will give you the foundation you need to grow into a skilled, confident trainee teacher.

Training & Progression

During Phase One, you will complete:

  • A Level 4 NCFE customised qualification aligned with key elements of the Teaching Standards and the Core Content Framework (CCF)

  • Structured training delivered outside of contact time

  • In-school observations, professional learning journals, and tripartite mentor meetings

  • Development of classroom practice without the pressure of a full timetable

Upon successful completion, you can progress into Phase Two, where you will:

  • Begin independent teaching

  • Follow a recognised ITT pathway (PGCE, Apprenticeship, or Assessment-Only) with Grad2Teach support

  • Work toward achieving QTS with Coventry University (PGCE route)

This structured pathway ensures you grow steadily and confidently into a fully qualified primary teacher.
