About Grad2Teach

Grad2Teach provides a salaried, school-based teacher training programme. You’ll gain immediate classroom experience while being supported by experienced mentors, all while following a structured training route that leads to QTS and a PGCE. This programme is designed to help you grow into a confident, skilled educator ready to make a lasting impact.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Teaching Humanities subjects (such as History, Geography, or Religious Education) across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive, and thought-provoking lessons.

  • Helping pupils explore the past, understand different cultures, and think critically about the world around them.

  • Working closely with school staff and mentors to develop your teaching practice.

  • Contributing to a positive school environment and wider school life.


Requirements:

To be eligible for this role and the Grad2Teach programme, you must have:

  • A UK undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. History, Geography, Theology, Politics, or related humanities field).

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in both English and Mathematics.

  • A strong interest in education and the humanities.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with young people.

  • A commitment to completing your training and becoming a fully qualified teacher.
