About Profile

About Susanta

Susanta brings a strong foundation in learning support and administration, underpinned by a background in biology and business. His experience spans UK classroom support roles across primary and further education, where he has worked 1:1 with students with SEN needs including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. At Stanmore College, he currently supports learners across multiple subjects, including English, Maths, Business and PE.

He has experience teaching and tutoring in both formal and informal contexts, including part-time teaching in India and private tuition for students up to Year 7. Prior to relocating to the UK, Susanta held senior administrative posts in the Indian education sector and led initiatives that improved student enrolment and stakeholder relationships.

Strengths include his calm, empathetic approach with students, attention to detail in lesson follow-up, and his ability to build rapport quickly. He brings practical safeguarding knowledge, a current enhanced DBS, and a strong commitment to CPD, having completed a wide range of relevant training.

While new to teaching in the UK, he is motivated to take on more responsibility in a classroom setting and is seeking a salaried route into teaching, with particular interest in biology and general science. He will benefit from further support in UK curriculum planning and assessment strategies but has already shown the adaptability and work ethic to make a strong contribution as a trainee teacher.
