Meet Our Trainees

Desire has a background in journalism and communication, having worked as a writer for six years before focusing on education. Through her reporting on schools and direct interaction with teachers, students, and parents, she developed a strong interest in teaching. Since moving to the UK, she has gained experience supporting children and young people through voluntary work and mentoring. She brings strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to listen and build rapport. Her experience in journalism means she can break down complex ideas clearly and encourage curiosity in learners. She has also shown commitment to learning through recent study in support work in schools and colleges.

Adrian brings a strong foundation in fine art, design, and creative education, supported by a BA in Fine and Applied Arts and a Master’s in Graphic Design and Branding. Her teaching experience spans secondary school art roles in both the UK and overseas, as well as extensive cover supervision across primary and secondary settings. She has worked in art galleries, facilitated workshops, and delivered design lessons that blend practical skills with creative thinking.

Muskaan brings a strong foundation in education through her BA in Education and Sociology and a breadth of hands-on experience across primary, secondary, and SEND settings. She has worked as a tutor, after-school club supervisor, and teaching assistant, developing adaptable communication skills and a reflective approach to practice. Her motivation is rooted in creating inclusive classrooms where all pupils feel represented and confident in their abilities.

Fawaz holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism (Distinction) from the University of Manchester, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Ambrose Alli University, Nigeria. Their academic background has honed their skills in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and technical thinking—qualities they are eager to bring into the classroom.

Ade is progressing towards a career in secondary mathematics teaching, building on a strong academic foundation in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He has been teaching mathematics online since 2017, creating accessible explanations of complex topics and using relatable examples to engage learners. Ade’s subject knowledge spans the full secondary curriculum, with particular strength in algebra and calculus. He sets high expectations in learning, encourages peer review, and tailors support to student needs. Areas for development include refining formative and summative assessment practice and deepening classroom-based pedagogical approaches. Ade’s technical background, coupled with his teaching experience, positions him to bring real-world STEM applications into the classroom, fostering both understanding and enthusiasm for mathematics.

Jonathan is an enthusiastic and reflective trainee teacher with experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level but a strong academic background and personal passion for History and Humanities. His degree in International Relations and Politics, combined with his experience of leading lessons and engaging students, positions him well to transition into History teaching. He has a natural enthusiasm for historical and political topics and has shown the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Pasquale is a British national with dual Italian citizenship and a background spanning nearly twenty years as a software developer. His experience includes building secure, scalable systems for organisations such as HMRC, HSBC, Barclays, the BBC, and Just Eat. A self-taught coder who later formalised his learning with a computing degree, he has mentored colleagues, led development teams, and developed critical national systems like the HMRC furlough calculator. Pasquale is now seeking to teach Computer Science at secondary level, motivated by a desire to pass on both technical knowledge and the critical thinking skills needed in the digital age.

Susanta brings a strong foundation in learning support and administration, underpinned by a background in biology and business. His experience spans UK classroom support roles across primary and further education, where he has worked 1:1 with students with SEN needs including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. At Stanmore College, he currently supports learners across multiple subjects, including English, Maths, Business and PE.
