Meet Our Trainees

Phil is a trainee primary teacher with recent, sustained experience in a UK primary school setting. He currently works as a Teaching Assistant at Didsbury Road Primary School, supporting learning across three Year 6 and two Year 5 classes. His role includes leading small-group Maths and Literacy sessions, delivering one-to-one reading support, and providing classroom cover when required.

Jamar is an aspiring secondary Physical Education teacher with a strong academic background in sport, coaching, and performance analysis. He demonstrates a clear commitment to promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and personal development in young people. Jamar’s experience is grounded in practical coaching across a range of age groups. He has supported and delivered sessions in football and cricket for pupils aged 4–13, including structured training, match support, and skills-based workshops. This breadth of experience shows his ability to adapt activities to suit different developmental stages. For example, he has led U13 football training sessions and supported cricket camps, where he adjusted drills to match ability levels and maintain engagement.

Vaishnavy is a developing teacher of Science, with a subject specialism in Biology at secondary level. She brings a secure academic background in zoology and education, which supports her subject knowledge across biology topics including genetics, ecology, and human physiology.

Tom brings a broad range of professional and international experiences that support his potential as a secondary History teacher. His background demonstrates organisation, communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Naba is an aspiring Psychology and Science teacher with strong subject foundations and substantial experience across secondary school settings. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (Genetics), which provides a solid scientific grounding in research methods, data analysis, and evaluation—key components of both the Science and Psychology curricula. Her academic background supports confident delivery of KS3–KS4 Science and A-Level Psychology content.

Nourin is an aspiring Art and Design Teacher with specialist expertise in Photography and Visual Media, currently working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary setting while preparing for secondary teacher training. She brings strong subject knowledge, international teaching experience, and a clear commitment to inclusive, creative education. Nourin holds a Master of Design in Photography Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Art. She previously worked as a Visual Arts Teacher in an international secondary school (ages 11–16), where she planned and delivered lessons across drawing, painting, digital imaging, and design. Her teaching introduced students to a wide range of artists and visual traditions, supporting them to analyse techniques and apply ideas creatively in their own work

Blerina is looking for a placement in schools in or around Luton, in either Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire. She is a Teaching Assistant Level 3 and Cover Supervisor working in a primary SEND school. Since February 2024, she has supported lesson planning and delivery across the curriculum, adapted learning for individual needs, and tracked progress through observation and questioning. She regularly covers classes independently, demonstrating growing confidence in behaviour management, lesson structure, and assessment practice

Alice has eight years of experience teaching Italian across the full primary age range, building strong skills in lesson planning, differentiation, and creating engaging, language-rich environments. Her background in Modern Languages and extensive teaching experience enable her to introduce new vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge in accessible, well-structured ways.
