We offer three flexible routes to QTS, depending on your needs and background:

PGCE with QTS: A university-led qualification combined with salaried school-based training.
Teaching Apprenticeship: A salaried training route fully funded through the Apprenticeship Levy.
Assessment Only Route (AOR): For experienced staff ready to evidence their teaching competency and gain QTS quickly.

Your Grad2Teach Journey

Step 1: Initial Consultation

Speak with us about your qualifications, ambitions, and possible routes into teaching. We'll advise you on next steps and potential pathways.

Step 2: Application and Assessment

Complete a short application, literacy and numeracy tasks, and an assessment call to confirm your readiness for training.

Step 3: Placement and Phase One

We match you to a supportive school. In Phase One, you build teaching skills through Foundation, Application, and Assessment terms, at a manageable pace.

Step 4: Phase Two and QTS

Move into your chosen ITT route — PGCE, Apprenticeship, or AOR — teaching independently and working toward full qualification with expert Grad2Teach support.

Trainee English Teacher

Grad2Teach is recruiting a Phase One Trainee English Teacher to join a modern and aspirational secondary school in Bedfordshire. This graduate teaching role offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career through Grad2Teach’s structured salaried teacher training programme. You will gain valuable classroom experience while working towards the Grad2Teach Level 4 qualification, building the skills, knowledge and confidence required to progress towards becoming a qualified teacher. Working alongside experienced teaching professionals, you will support engaging English lessons and help pupils develop their skills across reading, writing, speaking, language analysis and literature. As your confidence and experience grow, you will gradually take on greater classroom responsibility. You will learn how to plan effective lessons, manage behaviour, assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet different learning needs. Successful completion of Phase One can lead to progression into Phase Two, where you will move towards independent teaching and continue your journey towards PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status.

Are you a graduate or career changer looking for a practical, salaried route into teaching? Grad2Teach is recruiting a Phase One Trainee English Teacher to join a secondary school in Hertfordshire. This graduate teaching role gives you the opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while completing the Grad2Teach Level 4 qualification as part of a structured, salaried teacher training programme. Working alongside experienced teachers, you will gradually develop the skills required to support and deliver engaging English lessons. You will help pupils strengthen their reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills while building your own confidence as an aspiring teacher. As your experience develops, you will take on increasing classroom responsibility and prepare for progression into Phase Two, independent teaching and the PGCE route.

Trainee Food Technology Teacher

Are you passionate about Food Technology, nutrition and practical learning and interested in turning that passion into a rewarding teaching career? Grad2Teach is recruiting a Phase One Trainee Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Bournemouth, Dorset. This graduate teaching role offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career through a structured, salaried teacher training programme. Rather than completing all of your training away from the classroom, you will develop your teaching skills while working within a real secondary school environment. During Phase One, you will work towards the Grad2Teach Level 4 qualification, developing the knowledge, confidence and practical classroom experience needed to progress towards becoming a qualified teacher. You will work alongside experienced teaching professionals, gradually developing your ability to support and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons. This could include helping students develop practical food preparation skills and building their understanding of nutrition, food science, health, safety and responsible working practices.
