Trainee Teacher of Science – Biology Focus | AOR or PGCE Route
Do you have a passion for science and a desire to inspire the next generation of young minds? Whether you're an experienced unqualified teacher ready for assessment or a graduate seeking full teacher training, this is your opportunity to teach Biology-focused Science in a vibrant secondary school in West London.
This placement will primarily focus on teaching Years 9–11, with the possibility of A-Level/KS5 teaching for the right candidate. The school is looking for someone who can bring Science to life, particularly with a strong foundation in Biology, though applicants with Chemistry or Physics backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Choose your route:
Assessment Only Route (AOR) – for experienced unqualified teachers ready for formal QTS assessment.
PGCE with QTS (via Coventry University) – for graduates or early-career educators ready for a fully supported teacher training programme.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology (KS4 essential, KS5 desirable)
- Ability to teach general science across KS3–KS4
- Enthusiasm for making complex concepts accessible and exciting
- Relevant experience in a UK classroom (required for AOR)
With Grad2Teach, you'll be paid while working towards your qualification – whether that's a PGCE with QTS or QTS-only through the AOR route
