Alex is the Managing Director of Grad2Teach, with overall responsibility for the organisation’s strategic direction, partnerships, and long-term growth. He leads Grad2Teach’s work with schools, academic providers, and sector partners to ensure high-quality teacher training routes that are sustainable, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of the education system. Alex believes that strong collaboration between schools, training providers, and aspiring teachers — whether graduates, career changers, or experienced support staff — is essential to improving teacher supply and retention. Under his leadership, Grad2Teach focuses on building supportive, school-led pathways that prioritise trainee success while reducing unnecessary cost and complexity for schools. By giving schools greater control over recruitment and development, and by investing in long-term pipelines of high-quality staff, Alex is committed to helping Grad2Teach contribute to the development of future teachers and leaders, strengthening the education community for years to come.
