About the Role
As a trainee teacher, your role will include:

Supporting PE lessons for female pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4

Assisting with planning and delivery of practical activities and sports sessions

Promoting teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles

Supporting extracurricular sport and enrichment activities
-
Developing your professional practice within a salaried teacher training pathway
This role provides a strong foundation for progression into independent teaching and a PGCE route.
This role is well suited to an aspiring teacher, trainee educator, or future PE teacher who is passionate about physical education and inspiring young people.
You will:

Hold (or be working toward) a degree in PE, Sport Science, or a related subject

Have a strong interest in female physical education and student wellbeing

Be enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn in a school-based environment

Enjoy motivating and engaging secondary-aged pupils
-
Be committed to developing professionally through a structured teacher training programme
Experience in coaching, youth sport, or schools is advantageous but not essential.
Training & Progression

Completion of Phase One, leading to a Level 4 qualification with Grad2Teach

Training aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and Teaching Standards

Ongoing mentoring, observations, and professional development

Progression to Phase Two, with increased responsibility and independent teaching

Opportunity to complete a PGCE with Coventry University, leading to QTS
