About the Role
This is a salaried teacher training programme designed for graduates and aspiring teachers who are ready to take their first formal step into the profession while earning and training at the same time.
As a graduate trainee in this Year 6 classroom-based role, you will:

Support teaching and learning within a Year 6 class

Assist with SATs preparation and upper Key Stage 2 curriculum delivery

Deliver small group interventions in English and Mathematics
-
Support assessment, marking, and pupil progress tracking

Gradually take responsibility for parts of lessons as your confidence grows
This graduate teaching role in Hayes provides structured classroom experience while completing Grad2Teach’s Level 4 qualification (Phase One). It is a clear pathway into Phase Two and a PGCE route leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
About You
We are looking for a committed aspiring primary teacher, trainee educator, or future Year 6 teacher who is passionate about upper Key Stage 2 learning.
To be successful in this trainee teacher role, you must:

Hold (or be working towards) a degree

Have some prior Year 6 classroom experience (essential)

Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills

Show confidence supporting SATs preparation and end-of-key-stage expectations

Be reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
