About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
This Graduate Trainee Science Teacher position is part of the Grad2Teach salaried teacher training programme – a school-based route into teaching designed to support you from classroom assistant to qualified teacher.
You will:

Begin as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Progress through a structured two-phase training model, developing classroom skills and subject knowledge

Work towards a PGCE with QTS, awarded by Coventry University

Earn a salary throughout your training with no tuition fees

Receive expert mentoring, coaching, and access to a blended curriculum aligned with the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Phase 1:

Support lesson planning and delivery

Provide targeted academic support and interventions

Develop behaviour management and teaching strategies
Phase 2:

Independently teach up to 18 hours per week

Complete PGCE assignments and assessments

Take full responsibility for classes with support from experienced mentors

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you should:

Hold a UK bachelor’s degree – ideally in a Science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
