This paid teacher training role allows you to earn a salary while completing Grad2Teach’s Level 4 qualification, designed to prepare you for a long-term career in teaching.

As a trainee teacher, you will:

  • Support Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Develop subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Work closely with mentors and teaching staff

  • Gain structured classroom experience as part of a salaried teacher training route

  • Progress toward Phase Two, leading to independent teaching and a PGCE

This role is ideal for aspiring Science teachers seeking a practical, employment-based route into the profession.

About You / Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated graduate trainee, aspiring teacher, or future educator with a genuine passion for Science and education.

You will:

  • Hold (or be working toward) a degree related to Science or a closely aligned subject

  • Be enthusiastic about becoming a qualified Science teacher

  • Be reliable, reflective, and eager to learn

  • Enjoy working with young people in a secondary school setting

  • Be committed to developing as a trainee educator through feedback and training

Previous classroom or tutoring experience is helpful but not essential. A strong commitment to teaching and learning is key.

Training & Progression

  • You will complete Phase One, working toward a Level 4 qualification through Grad2Teach

  • Training is aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and national Teaching Standards

  • You will receive structured mentoring, observations, and professional development

  • Successful completion of Phase One leads to Phase Two, where you progress to independent teaching

  • Phase Two includes a PGCE route with Coventry University, enabling you to qualify as a teacher

This structured pathway supports you from trainee teacher to fully qualified professional.
