About the Role
As a Phase One Trainee Teacher, you will earn while you learn, completing Grad2Teach's Level 4 qualification and developing the skills required to progress towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, and career changers looking for a rewarding route into secondary education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of engaging Geography lessons.
- Assisting students in developing geographical knowledge and analytical skills.
- Working with individuals and small groups to support progress and attainment.
- Encouraging curiosity about environmental, social, and global issues.
- Developing classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
- Building confidence in lesson planning, assessment, and teaching practice.

About You
We are looking for a graduate trainee, aspiring teacher, trainee educator, or future Geography teacher who:

Training & Progression
Phase One – Level 4 Qualification
As a Phase One Trainee Teacher, you will:
- Complete the Grad2Teach Level 4 qualification.
- Gain practical classroom experience from day one.
- Develop teaching skills aligned with effective classroom practice.
- Build evidence against the Core Content Framework (CCF).
- Work towards meeting the Teachers' Standards.
- Receive regular mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
Phase Two – PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status Route
Following successful completion of Phase One, you will progress to:
- Increased responsibility for lesson planning and delivery.
- Independent teaching opportunities.
