It serves a richly diverse pupil population and places a strong focus on ensuring all children feel valued, safe, and inspired to reach their full potential.

About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme

This Graduate Trainee Primary Teacher role is offered through the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme, which combines paid in-school experience with high-quality academic training towards your PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status.

With Grad2Teach, you will:

  • Begin in a Graduate Teaching Assistant role, supporting classroom learning across Early Years and Key Stages 1 and 2

  • Progress through our two-phase training model to become a confident, independent teacher

  • Complete a PGCE with QTS, awarded by Coventry University

  • Earn a salary while training—avoid student debt and gain hands-on experience

  • Receive high-quality mentoring, peer support, and a blended training model based on the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework

Phase 1: Support-focused, including observations, small-group work, and guided planning
Phase 2: Up to 18 hours of solo teaching per week while completing PGCE requirements

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates to enter the teaching profession through a structured, fully supported, and practical route.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a UK bachelor’s degree (in any subject)

  • Be passionate about working with primary-age children

  • Be committed, resilient, and eager to learn

  • Ideally hold GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (some flexibility available during Phase 1)

Whether you're a recent graduate or exploring a new career path, this is a great way to enter the classroom with both support and financial stability.
