Whether you're a graduate looking to train or an experienced instructor ready to transition into the classroom, this is your chance to join a specialist SEMH school in rural Lancashire through the Grad2Teach Initial Teacher Training programme.

About the School

This specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school caters to pupils aged 10–17, providing an educational experience that promotes academic and personal growth in a supportive, therapeutic environment. With dedicated professionals, outstanding facilities, and a mission to help every young person fulfil their potential, this is the perfect place to start—or further—your teaching journey.

The Role & Grad2Teach Training Programme

Whether you're stepping into the classroom for the first time or looking to formalise your teaching career, this role offers the opportunity to:

  • Join the Grad2Teach salaried Initial Teacher Training programme

  • Train toward a PGCE with QTS, awarded by Coventry University

  • Deliver engaging and purposeful outdoor and physical education sessions

    • Phase 2: Take on up to 18 hours of independent teaching weekly while completing your PGCE

  • Be mentored by experienced educators within a supportive, specialist setting

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Hold a UK degree (in PE, Sports Science, Outdoor Education, or a related subject)

  • Have experience in outdoor or physical education (Outdoor Ed qualifications and First Aid are a plus)

  • Are seeking a graduate teacher route with paid initial teacher training
