  • Developing subject knowledge in History and related humanities subjects

  • Working closely with mentors as part of a salaried teacher training route

  • Preparing for progression into Phase Two and a PGCE pathway

This role is ideal for aspiring History teachers who want to learn on the job while earning a salary.

  • Be enthusiastic about becoming a qualified History teacher

  • Be reliable, reflective, and eager to develop professionally

  • Enjoy working with secondary-aged students

  • Be motivated to succeed on a structured teacher training programme

Previous experience in schools, tutoring, or youth work is beneficial but not essential. A strong commitment to teaching and learning is key.

Training & Progression

  • You will complete Phase One, working towards a Level 4 qualification with Grad2Teach

  • Training is aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and national Teaching Standards

  • You will receive ongoing mentoring, observations, and professional development

  • Successful completion of Phase One leads to Phase Two, where you move into independent teaching
