Primary Trainee Teacher Opportunity
Partnerships Co-ordinator
About the Role
Are you passionate about inspiring young learners and beginning your journey into teaching? This is your chance to train as a Primary Teacher while earning a salary, through our Grad2Teach Initial Teacher Training Programme.
We are offering a Phase One placement at a welcoming primary school in Oxfordshire, where you will gain invaluable classroom experience without the pressure of a full teaching timetable. This salaried training role is the perfect opportunity for graduates who want to build practical skills before progressing into Phase Two of the programme and achieving a PGCE with QTS.
What is Phase One?
Phase One gives you the chance to:
- Work with pupils across the primary age range, supporting teaching and learning.
- Develop your confidence in lesson delivery, classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Gain hands-on experience working alongside qualified teachers, SEND teams, and school leaders.
- Complete blended training focused on the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF).
Training is completed outside of contact time, meaning you maximise every opportunity to develop your professional practice in the classroom.
Why choose Grad2Teach?
- Salaried route into teaching – earn while you train.
- Structured progression: Phase One school-based training followed by Phase Two, where you’ll work towards a PGCE with QTS through Coventry University.
- Support at every stage – from your mentor in school to the Grad2Teach training team.
- Flexible entry requirements – time in Phase One allows you to meet any outstanding eligibility criteria before starting the PGCE.
Who are we looking for?
We want motivated graduates who:
- Hold a UK bachelor’s degree (or recognised equivalent).
- Have GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (or are willing to work towards them).
- Are passionate about education and committed to a career in teaching.
- Are enthusiastic, resilient, and ready to inspire the next generation of primary learners.
Location
This opportunity is based at a vibrant primary school in Oxfordshire, offering a supportive environment for you to train and grow.
