About Khatiba
Khatiba is an aspiring secondary Science teacher with a strong academic background in biology and zoology, supported by several years of classroom experience in both Pakistan and the UK. She holds an M.Phil. in Zoology, an MSc in Zoology, and a Bachelor of Education, providing a secure foundation for teaching Biology and wider Science.
Khatiba has taught Biology and Zoology at both secondary school and college level, planning and delivering lessons that developed students' understanding of complex scientific concepts.
She has experience teaching topics including genetics, ecology, anatomy, and evolution, while using multimedia resources and practical explanations to increase student engagement and understanding.
Since relocating to the UK, Khatiba has worked as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school, supporting students with ASD, ADHD, and additional learning needs. She delivers one-to-one and small-group interventions in Science and core subjects, adapts learning materials, contributes to behaviour support strategies, and works closely with teaching staff to create inclusive learning environments. This experience demonstrates her understanding of differentiation and the needs of diverse learners
