About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate trainee or career changer to begin a salaried teacher training programme as a Phase One Trainee Spanish Teacher in a diverse and ambitious secondary school in Birmingham, West Midlands.

In this graduate teaching role, you will support the delivery of Spanish across the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum, working alongside experienced teachers to develop pupils’ language skills and cultural awareness. You will gain meaningful classroom experience while earning a salary and completing Grad2Teach’s Level 4 qualification, offering a structured and supportive route into teaching.

As a trainee teacher, you will:

  • Support Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Assist with lesson delivery, speaking practice, and assessment activities

  • Develop strong subject knowledge in Spanish language and culture

  • Work closely with mentors as part of a salaried teacher training route

  • Build the confidence and skills required to progress into Phase Two and a PGCE pathway

About You / Candidate Profile
