About the Role
This Trainee SEND Teacher opportunity provides a structured and supportive pathway into education through Grad2Teach’s salaried teacher training programme. Working within a welcoming primary academy in North London, you will gain valuable classroom experience supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
As a Phase One Trainee Teacher, you will:
- Support pupils with SEND across the primary age range
- Work alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals
- Assist with differentiated learning and classroom activities
- Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Develop behaviour management and communication strategies
- Gain practical experience within a graduate teaching role
- Build confidence through coaching, mentoring, and classroom practice

About You
We are looking for a motivated graduate trainee, trainee educator, or future SEND teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting young learners.
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in SEND support, teaching assistant work, mentoring, youth work, care, or tutoring is essential.
Training & Progression
Grad2Teach offers a clear and supported route into the teaching profession through its innovative salaried teacher training programme.
During Phase One, you will:
- Complete the Grad2Teach Level 4 qualification
- Develop teaching practice aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Build evidence towards the Teachers’ Standards
- Receive instructional coaching and mentoring from experienced educators
- Gain hands-on classroom experience in Enfield, Greater London
Successful trainees can progress into Phase Two, where you will take on greater teaching responsibility and work towards a PGCE with Coventry University.
