About the Role

Working alongside experienced Science teachers, you will support teaching and learning across the Science curriculum, gaining invaluable classroom experience while training on the job. This paid teacher training role allows you to earn a salary while completing Grad2Teach’s Level 4 qualification, designed to prepare you for a long-term career in teaching.

As a trainee teacher, you will:

  • Support Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Develop subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Work closely with mentors and teaching staff

  • Gain structured classroom experience as part of a salaried teacher training route

  • Progress toward Phase Two, leading to independent teaching and a PGCE

About You / Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated graduate trainee, aspiring teacher, or future educator with a genuine passion for Science and education.

You will:

  • Hold (or be working toward) a degree related to Science or a closely aligned subject

  • Be enthusiastic about becoming a qualified Science teacher

  • Be reliable, reflective, and eager to learn

  • Enjoy working with young people in a secondary school setting

  • Be committed to developing as a trainee educator through feedback and training

Previous classroom or tutoring experience is helpful but not essential. A strong commitment to teaching and learning is key.

Training & Progression

  • You will complete Phase One, working toward a Level 4 qualification through Grad2Teach

  • Training is aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and national Teaching Standards

  • You will receive structured mentoring, observations, and professional development

  • Successful completion of Phase One leads to Phase Two, where you progress to independent teaching

  • Phase Two includes a PGCE route with Coventry University, enabling you to qualify as a teacher
