About the Role
As a Trainee Mathematics Teacher, you will begin your journey in Phase One of the Grad2Teach programme while working within a well-established secondary school in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, with progression onto Phase Two.
You will:

Teach mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Work with small groups to improve numeracy and problem-solving skills

Assist with lesson planning and classroom delivery

Gradually increase your teaching responsibility

Earn a salary from day one
Phase One allows you to gain classroom experience without the pressure of a full timetable. Your training takes place outside of contact time and is aligned with the Teaching Standards and the Core Content Framework (CCF).
You will complete a Level 4 NCFE qualification, designed to build your confidence and prepare you for formal Initial Teacher Training.

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach delivers a two-phase salaried initial teacher training programme.
Phase One – Foundations (Level 4 Qualification)

Phase Two – PGCE with QTS
Once you are ready, you will progress to:

Independent teaching (up to 18 hours per week)
