About the Role
As a Trainee Mathematics Teacher in Romford, you will:

Begin as a Phase One Trainee Teacher, completing a Level 4 NCFE qualification alongside your classroom role

Teach Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 exposure)

Gradually take on increased teaching responsibility as your confidence grows

Earn a salary from day one in a school-based, graduate teaching role

Follow a structured training programme aligned to the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF)
Phase One allows you to build experience without the pressure of a full timetable. Your training takes place outside contact time so you can maximise your in-school development.

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach is a salaried initial teacher training programme delivered in partnership with schools and Coventry University.
Phase One

Complete a Level 4 NCFE Customised Qualification

Structured training days outside teaching hours

Observations, mentoring and tripartite review meetings

Preparation for formal Initial Teacher Training
Phase Two
Once ready, you will progress to:

A PGCE with QTS through Coventry University

Independent teaching (up to 18 hours per week)

Achievement of QTS and 60 Master’s credits.
