About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme

This Graduate Trainee Humanities Teacher position offers a unique route into the profession via the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme. You’ll start by supporting the Humanities department before transitioning into a teaching role while studying for your PGCE.

With Grad2Teach, you will:

• Begin in a supportive classroom-based role, assisting with lesson delivery and pupil progress

• Progress through a two-phase training model that develops your confidence and skills over time

• Work towards a PGCE with QTS through our university partner, Coventry University

• Earn a salary while training—no need to take on additional student debt

• Receive consistent mentoring and benefit from a blended training programme aligned with the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework

Phase 1: Gain experience in a structured support role, observing and contributing to lessons.
Phase 2: Take on independent teaching responsibilities (up to 18 hours per week) while completing your PGCE coursework.

Candidate Requirements
