About the Role

As a trainee teacher, you will:

  • Support lessons in GCSE and A-Level Economics and Business

About You / Candidate Profile

We are seeking an ambitious aspiring teacher, trainee educator, or future Economics and Business teacher with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in education.

You will:

  • Hold (or be working toward) a degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related subject

  • Have already taught A level Economics and GSCE Business Studies
  • Be passionate about developing students’ understanding of enterprise, finance, and economic thinking

  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and resilience

  • Be eager to learn and develop within a structured teacher training programme

  • Be committed to progressing through a salaried route into qualified teacher status

Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, business environments, or youth work is beneficial but not essential.

Training & Progression

  • Completion of Phase One, achieving a Level 4 qualification with Grad2Teach

  • Training aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and national Teaching Standards

  • Structured mentoring, lesson observations, and professional development

  • Progression into Phase Two, with increased responsibility and independent teaching

  • Opportunity to complete a PGCE with Coventry University, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
