Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging and practical Science lessons across the secondary curriculum.

  • Work alongside experienced teachers to develop effective classroom management and teaching techniques.

  • Assist with practical experiments, demonstrations and laboratory activities.

  • Support students of varying abilities, helping them develop scientific understanding and confidence.

  • Gradually take on greater teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, delivery and assessment.

  • Participate in school activities, professional development and departmental meetings.

  • Complete Grad2Teach's Phase One Level 4 qualification alongside your salaried school placement.
