About the Role
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in North Norfolk is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Primary Teacher to join its supportive team through the Grad2Teach salaried teacher training programme.

Through Grad2Teach, you will gain practical classroom experience, complete a structured Level 4 qualification, and progress towards achieving PGCE with QTS through Coventry University.
About the Role
As a Trainee Primary Teacher, you will work closely with experienced teachers across the primary age range, supporting pupils’ learning and development while building your own teaching practice.
This salaried teacher training role in North Norfolk offers a gradual and supportive route into teaching, allowing you to develop confidence in the classroom before moving into independent teaching responsibilities.
You will:
- Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and pupil progress
- Develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- Gain hands-on experience in a real school environment
- Complete a structured Level 4 training programme alongside your school placement
- Progress towards Phase Two teacher training and PGCE with QTS
Grad2Teach’s programme combines practical school experience with professional training aligned to the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF).

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach provides a structured two-phase salaried teacher training programme designed to develop confident, capable educators.
Phase One
During Phase One, you will:
- Complete an NCFE Level 4 qualification
- Receive school-based training and mentoring
- Develop your understanding of safeguarding, lesson planning, assessment, behaviour management, and inclusive practice
- Build evidence towards the Teachers’ Standards
- Gain valuable classroom experience without the pressure of a full teaching timetable
Phase Two
Once ready, you will progress into Phase Two, where you will:
- Teach more independently
- Complete a PGCE with QTS through Coventry University
- Continue receiving mentoring and professional support
- Develop towards becoming a fully qualified teacher
