About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to begin your journey as a Trainee Primary Teacher in a supportive primary school in Norfolk, starting in a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role.
This graduate trainee teaching role offers a structured, salaried teacher training pathway with Grad2Teach, allowing you to gain valuable classroom experience while working towards a recognised Level 4 qualification.
As a trainee teacher / HLTA, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across the primary age range
- Deliver small group interventions and cover lessons when required
- Build confidence in classroom management and lesson delivery
- Work closely with experienced teachers and mentors
- Gradually increase responsibility as you progress

Training & Progression
With Grad2Teach, you will follow a structured, school-based training programme designed to support your development every step of the way.
Phase One (HLTA + Training):
- Complete a Level 4 NCFE qualification alongside your role
- Gain hands-on classroom experience without full teaching pressure
- Training aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF) and Teaching Standards
Phase Two (Teacher Training Route):
- Progress into a full teaching timetable
- Work towards a PGCE with QTS via Coventry University
- Receive ongoing mentoring, observations, and structured support
This two-phase salaried teacher training programme allows you to earn, learn, and qualify as a teacher over time, typically within 1–2 years
