About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
This Graduate Trainee Mathematics Teacher position is part of the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme, offering a school-based route into teaching that includes a full salary and no tuition fees.
You will:

Begin as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting the delivery of Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Progress through a two-phase training model designed to build your teaching confidence and subject expertise

Work towards a PGCE with QTS, awarded by Coventry University

Receive high-quality mentoring, coaching, and a blended curriculum aligned with the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Training Structure:

Phase 1: Assist with planning and delivery, run interventions, and develop classroom management strategies

Phase 2: Begin to teach up to 18 hours per week independently while completing PGCE assignments and formal assessments

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible for this opportunity and the Grad2Teach programme, you must:

Hold a UK undergraduate degree—ideally in Mathematics or a closely related subject (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Economics)

Have achieved (or be working towards) GCSE Grade C/4 or above in both English and Mathematics

Be passionate about education and helping young people succeed

Demonstrate strong communication skills, resilience, and a willingness to learn

Be committed to your own professional development and a long-term career in teaching
