About the Role

As a Trainee Mathematics Teacher, you will work alongside experienced teachers within a supportive Mathematics department, developing your subject knowledge, classroom confidence and teaching practice.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting Mathematics teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to strengthen numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• Supporting lesson preparation, resources and classroom activities.
• Helping pupils develop confidence in mathematical reasoning and applying mathematical concepts.
• Observing experienced Mathematics teachers and learning effective classroom strategies.
• Supporting intervention and revision sessions where appropriate.
• Developing behaviour management, assessment and lesson-planning skills.
• Gradually taking on greater classroom and teaching responsibility as your confidence develops.
