About the Role & Grad2Teach Programme
This Graduate Trainee Science Teacher role is part of the Grad2Teach salaried initial teacher training programme, offering a financially supported, classroom-based route into teaching.
You will:

Begin as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Science lessons

Progress through our two-phase training model, designed to build classroom confidence and subject knowledge

Complete a PGCE with QTS, awarded by Coventry University

Earn a salary while training, avoiding tuition fees

Receive professional mentoring, coaching, and access to a blended curriculum aligned with the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework
Phase 1: Support lesson planning and delivery, provide targeted interventions, and develop classroom management skills
Phase 2: Independently teach up to 18 hours per week while completing PGCE assignments and assessmentsThis pathway is ideal for aspiring teachers who want a hands-on, supported route into education.

Candidate Requirements
To be eligible, candidates should:

Hold a UK bachelor’s degree, ideally in a Humanities based subject (Preferably Geography)

Be enthusiastic about teaching and passionate about inspiring students

Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to grow professionally

Hold (or be working towards) GCSEs in English and Maths (some flexibility may be available in Phase 1)
