Trainee Primary Teacher

Ruth has built her career around education, combining over 15 years of experience in libraries, learning centres, and classrooms. Currently teaching English at an independent school in Carlisle, she delivers creative projects such as a marketing campaign that develops persuasive writing, public speaking, and research skills. She also supports sixth form students through one-to-one mentoring, helping with organisation and GCSE resits.

Adrian brings a strong foundation in fine art, design, and creative education, supported by a BA in Fine and Applied Arts and a Master’s in Graphic Design and Branding. Her teaching experience spans secondary school art roles in both the UK and overseas, as well as extensive cover supervision across primary and secondary settings. She has worked in art galleries, facilitated workshops, and delivered design lessons that blend practical skills with creative thinking.

Ade is progressing towards a career in secondary mathematics teaching, building on a strong academic foundation in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He has been teaching mathematics online since 2017, creating accessible explanations of complex topics and using relatable examples to engage learners. Ade’s subject knowledge spans the full secondary curriculum, with particular strength in algebra and calculus. He sets high expectations in learning, encourages peer review, and tailors support to student needs. Areas for development include refining formative and summative assessment practice and deepening classroom-based pedagogical approaches.
