Niamh's career has revolved around supporting young people, prompting her decision to apply to the Grad2Teach program as the next step in becoming a primary school teacher. Her motivation stems from a desire to learn reciprocally with her students. Having worked internationally, from the United States to Germany, she values diverse experiences and aims to bring this richness to both students and staff. Niamh sees primary education as a crucial stage for nurturing curiosity and inclusivity, drawing from her own early encounters with concepts like feminism and inclusivity. Her work, grounded in an inclusive philosophy, emphasises the importance of diversity in shaping young students' value systems. Engaged in Berlin Brandenburg International School's Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism group, she actively contributes to creating a more inclusive educational environment. Niamh envisions her role as a teacher to provide a safe space where students feel a sense of belonging while fostering curiosity and celebrating diversity.
