Primary Trainee Teacher

Teaching is my passion. My extensive experience and skills have shaped my strong desire to teach. Since childhood, I've been fascinated by language, leading me to pursue a Bachelor's in English Language and Literature and a Master's in TESOL. I’ve taught English to children in China and teenagers in the UK, finding great joy in the role. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught at language schools, universities, and colleges in Iran, China, and England, refining my class management and lesson planning skills. In Iran, I began teaching English and business. In China, I taught English to children and managed successful summer programs. In the UK, I designed innovative lessons at Brighton Language College while studying for my master's. I seek a PGCE to qualify to teach in the UK and embrace its student-centered, inclusive education system. I believe education can change lives and communities. My goal is to create an engaging classroom where every student is motivated to reach their potential. A PGCE will help me contribute to and learn from a community that values excellence in teaching. I am excited to bring my international experience to the UK, learn from its best practices, and share my insights. My goal is to motivate, educate, and make a meaningful impact on my students' lives.

Shazia’s journey as a student and learner, enriched by excellent mentors, has fueled her passion for teaching. During her MSc at Jammu University, she realised teaching’s vital role in shaping ideas and broadening understanding. She believes education is a social responsibility, essential for developing scientific curiosity and logical thinking in young minds. Shazia's B.Ed further refined her view that good teachers are crucial for a better society. With fourteen years of teaching experience, Shazia began her career as a secondary school science teacher. She then transitioned to Government Middle School Mandi, overcoming challenges with innovative solutions like NGO collaborations. At Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch, she employed diverse teaching tools and methods, earning the Outstanding Science Teacher Award during the COVID-19 pandemic. Transferring to Srinagar, Shazia continued to excel, participating in initiatives to reduce student dropouts and address behavioural crises. She remains dedicated to fostering the 'Society-Science connection' and looks forward to her continued growth as an educator.

While studying for a master's in biomedical sciences, she worked part-time as a support worker for children with disabilities. This experience taught her patience and the value of using visuals and music in teaching. In her previous role as a science teacher, she found working with young people very rewarding. For her secondary teacher training, Sharon aims to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, primarily to KS3 students. She believes teaching is crucial for shaping a child's future and strives to make science exciting and accessible. Sharon is a well-rounded science teacher with a background in biochemistry and experience supporting children with special needs. Her advanced degrees have enhanced her ability to communicate complex concepts. She is dedicated, hardworking, and eager to contribute to your company with her enthusiasm, teamwork skills, and friendly nature.

Paul is well-positioned for a career in education, demonstrating a solid foundation in both Physical Education and Geography. His decision to transition into teaching is backed by his significant experience and skills developed over the years. Previously working as a sports coordinator in a school, Paul has a clear understanding of the challenges and unique opportunities that the teaching profession presents. At university, Paul majored in Geography and Human Movement Studies, providing a robust academic foundation for his teaching journey. His diverse working experience equips him with maturity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, making him a valuable addition to any school environment. His background working with young people in schools and rugby academy settings has honed his ability to teach, coach, and guide students toward adulthood. Paul's experience in managing challenging behaviours and meeting parent demands has prepared him well for the realities of teaching. He is motivated by the opportunity to help shape young people into the best versions of themselves. His current role has further sharpened his time management, administrative skills, and ability to work both autonomously and within a team. Paul's communication skills, whether through writing reports or teaching in a classroom setting, are well-developed and adaptable to various audiences. He is aware that transitioning into teaching will present new challenges but is confident in his resilient character to meet them head-on. Paul is ready to put in the necessary work to familiarize himself with the current Geography syllabus and is open to support to make the transition smoother. With his extensive transferable skills and life experience, Paul is prepared to embrace this new opportunity. His commitment to education, combined with his diverse background, makes him a promising candidate for the role of either a Physical Education or Geography teacher.
