About Me
April is the Course Manager at Grad2Teach, leading the design, delivery, and ongoing development of the organisation’s teacher training programmes. She has oversight of the Teaching & Learning provision across both Phase One and Phase Two, including the Phase One training course and Trainee Hub, and works closely with Grad2Teach’s partner universities to ensure coherence between school-based training and academic study. In her role, April supports the quality and consistency of Phase Two provision, helping to align university requirements with the practical realities of classroom practice and the needs of partner schools. She ensures that all training is rigorous, relevant, and responsive to the expectations of both trainees and academic providers. With over 30 years of experience in UK schools, April brings extensive expertise as a classroom teacher, middle leader, and senior leader. She has taught eight subjects at GCSE and seven subjects at A level and holds a Master’s degree in Education Management. Her leadership experience includes responsibility for Initial Teacher Training, Teaching & Learning, and Continuing Professional Development. April is passionate about supporting and developing trainee teachers and is committed to ensuring that Grad2Teach programmes remain high-quality, practical, and well-integrated across schools and university partners.
