About the Role
This is far more than a traditional graduate teaching assistant role. As a Resident Fellow, you will become an integral member of the school community, supporting both the academic and pastoral development of students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and supervising lessons during teacher absences as a Cover Supervisor
- Supporting teaching and learning across the school
- Assisting students with academic progress and classroom engagement
- Playing an active role in the boarding and pastoral life of the school
- Supporting evening and residential activities within the boarding environment
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Developing your own teaching practice through structured training and mentoring

Training & Progression
The Grad2Teach programme provides a structured, school-based route into teaching that combines employment, training, and professional development.
Phase One – Level 4 Teacher Training
During Phase One, trainees:
- Gain practical classroom experience without the pressure of a full teaching timetable
- Complete a Level 4 qualification linked to the Teaching Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Receive mentoring, observations, and professional coaching
- Develop confidence in teaching, behaviour management, and lesson delivery
Phase Two – PGCE & QTS Route
Successful trainees can progress onto:
- A PGCE with Coventry University
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Independent teaching responsibilities
- Long-term career progression within education
