About the Role
This Trainee SEN Teacher opportunity provides hands-on classroom experience within a supportive specialist education setting in South London.
As part of Grad2Teach’s salaried teacher training programme, you will work alongside experienced SEN professionals to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, helping them achieve both academically and personally.
This graduate teaching role is designed to help aspiring teachers build the skills, confidence, and classroom expertise needed to progress into independent teaching and a long-term career in SEN education.
As a trainee educator, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across specialist SEN classrooms
- Help deliver personalised learning activities and interventions
- Develop behaviour management and communication strategies
- Build relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Gain practical classroom experience aligned with the Teachers’ Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Progress towards increased teaching responsibility during Phase Two

About You

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach offers a structured salaried teacher training pathway designed to support future educators from classroom support into qualified teaching.
During Phase One, you will:
- Complete the Level 4 qualification in education and teaching
- Develop professional practice aligned with the Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Build evidence towards the Teachers’ Standards
- Receive regular mentoring, coaching, and classroom support
Successful trainees can progress into Phase Two, where they take on greater independent teaching responsibilities while working towards a PGCE with Coventry University.
