What You’ll Be Doing

As a Trainee Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging science lessons to pupils of varying abilities

  • Assess and report on student progress, using data to inform your teaching

  • Support pupils academically and pastorally, including form tutor duties

  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular and enrichment programme

  • Be a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, compassion and a strong work ethic

  • Take an active role in curriculum planning and departmental resourcing

  • Help drive improvements in teaching and learning within your department

  • Hold a degree in a science-related subject

  • Are passionate about education and working with young people

  • Have GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
