About the Role

A friendly and inclusive primary school in the West Midlands is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This role is ideal for someone with an undergraduate degree who is passionate about education and considering a future in teaching.

The school is known for its supportive staff, strong sense of community, and commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. As a HLTA, you’ll work closely with experienced teachers, lead learning activities, and contribute to the school’s positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to small groups or whole classes when needed

  • Support pupils with varying learning needs across the primary age range

  • Work alongside teachers to plan, prepare and adapt lessons and resources

  • Encourage and support pupil progress, behaviour and engagement

  • Gain experience that will support your development into a future teacher

Who We’re Looking For:

  • An undergraduate degree (essential)

  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics

  • Experience working with children in a school or youth setting is desirable

  • A genuine interest in primary education and child development

  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
