About the Role

Are you passionate about education and ready to build on your classroom experience? A supportive and inclusive primary school in Suffolk is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join their team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) while starting their teacher training with Grad2Teach.

This school has a strong community ethos, a focus on nurturing young learners, and a commitment to supporting professional growth. Whether you're a current TA, HLTA, or have experience working with children in another setting, this could be your opportunity to start training towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE, all while gaining invaluable experience in the classroom.

The Role:
In your role as HLTA, you will support teaching and learning across the primary age range, leading small group work, covering lessons, and working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive education. Alongside this hands-on work, you will begin a structured, salaried training route with Grad2Teach, designed to guide you to full teaching qualification.

About Grad2Teach:
Grad2Teach provides a school-based training programme for graduates and career changers, leading to QTS and PGCE. With dedicated mentorship and practical experience, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to progress into a fully qualified teaching role.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • An undergraduate degree

  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English, Science and Mathematics

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting

  • A strong interest in primary education

  • Commitment to developing as a future teacher through professional training

What You’ll Receive:

  • A salaried HLTA position in a Suffolk primary school

  • A structured path to QTS and PGCE with Grad2Teach

  • Mentoring and support throughout your training

  • Real classroom experience in a friendly and forward-thinking school

If you're ready to start your journey to becoming a primary teacher in a thriving Suffolk school, this role offers the ideal combination of experience, training, and progression.
