A supportive secondary school in Norfolk is seeking a passionate and motivated Trainee Mathematics Teacher to join its team through the Grad2Teach salaried teacher training programme.

About the Role
As a Trainee Mathematics Teacher, you will gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school setting while completing Grad2Teach’s structured, salaried training programme. During Phase One, trainees build confidence in behaviour management, lesson planning, classroom practice, and assessment while working towards a Level 4 qualification.
You will support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence and achievement in Mathematics. The role provides a gradual introduction to teaching responsibilities, ensuring you are fully supported as you progress towards independent teaching practice.

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach is a salaried Initial Teacher Training programme that combines real classroom experience with structured professional development.
Phase One
During Phase One, trainees:
- Complete an NCFE Level 4 qualification
- Develop teaching practice aligned with the Teachers’ Standards and Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Receive mentoring, observations, and coaching support
- Build classroom confidence gradually
Phase Two
Successful trainees progress into Phase Two, where they:
- Take on increased teaching responsibility
- Teach independently on their own timetable
- Complete a PGCE with Coventry University
- Work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Grad2Teach supports trainees throughout the entire journey, from placement through to qualification and beyond.
