This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for humanities subjects to begin their journey into teaching through a structured, school-based training route.

Set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside—with its charming towns, natural beauty, and strong sense of community—this school offers a positive, inclusive learning environment. Staff are committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning across all subjects, particularly in the humanities.

The Role:

  • Support the delivery of engaging and meaningful humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Assist with planning, classroom delivery, and student assessment

  • Inspire students through topics such as history, geography, RE, and citizenship

  • Develop classroom management and teaching skills through day-to-day experience

  • Begin working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE

Requirements:

  • A degree, preferably in a humanities-related subject (e.g., history, geography, politics, philosophy, sociology)

  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics

  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in inspiring young people

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to beginning a structured route to becoming a qualified teacher

What’s Offered:

  • A supported and structured pathway to QTS and PGCE

  • Ongoing professional development and mentorship from experienced teachers

  • Classroom experience in a welcoming, inclusive school environment
