About the Role
As a Phase One Trainee Geography Teacher, you will work closely with experienced teachers, support Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and gradually develop your own teaching practice.
This salaried teacher training role is ideal for graduates, cover supervisors, teaching assistants, unqualified teachers, or career changers looking for a supported pathway into teaching.
You will:
- Support students in Geography lessons and humanities learning
- Develop classroom management and behaviour strategies
- Build confidence in lesson planning and delivery

- Complete Grad2Teach’s structured Level 4 training programme
- Progress towards independent teaching and PGCE with QTS

About You

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach is a salaried initial teacher training programme designed to help aspiring teachers qualify while working in schools.
Phase One
You will complete a Level 4 qualification while gaining classroom experience without the pressure of a full teaching timetable. Training is delivered outside contact time to maximise your in-school development.
Phase Two
Once ready, you will progress into independent teaching while completing a PGCE with QTS through Coventry University.
