About the Role
As a Computer Science Trainee Teacher, you will work alongside experienced educators in a secondary school setting in Norfolk, supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will gradually build your teaching responsibilities while completing a structured training programme.
This graduate teaching role is ideal for someone looking for a practical and supportive route into education without stepping away from employment.
You will:
- Support the delivery of engaging Computer Science and ICT lessons
- Gain hands-on classroom experience from day one
- Develop skills in lesson planning, behaviour management, and assessment
- Train through Grad2Teach’s salaried teacher training programme
- Complete a Level 4 qualification during Phase One
- Progress towards a PGCE with QTS in Phase Two

Training & Progression
Grad2Teach provides a structured two-phase training programme designed to develop confident, capable teachers.
Phase One – Level 4 Qualification
During Phase One, trainees complete a Level 4 NCFE qualification while gaining classroom experience without the pressure of a full teaching timetable. Training is delivered outside of teaching hours and focuses on:
- Teaching Standards
- Core Content Framework (CCF)
- Classroom practice
- Behaviour management
- Assessment and planning
Phase Two – PGCE with QTS
Successful trainees can progress into Phase Two, where they teach more independently while completing a PGCE with Coventry University partners.
This route leads to:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- PGCE qualification
- 60 Master’s credits
