Grad2Teach is offering an exciting Graduate Trainee Teacher – Girls’ PE opportunity at Kings Langley School, Hertfordshire. This salaried role allows you to begin your journey as a Phase One trainee, gaining hands-on classroom experience while studying for your Level 4 qualification, with a clear pathway to Phase Two, PGCE and QTS.

As a Grad2Teach trainee, you will support teaching and learning across girls' PE, helping deliver an exciting curriculum that offers students opportunities across a wide range of sports. You’ll also be involved in extra-curricular clubs and fixtures, contributing to the vibrant sporting life of the school.

About You – Candidate Profile
You may be a recent graduate, sports coach, or aspiring educator with a passion for PE and youth development. We are looking for someone who:
- Is a motivated aspiring Girls’ PE teacher / graduate trainee
- Has a strong interest or degree in Sport, PE or a related field
- Has an interest in Netball, Dance or Gymnastics
- Is enthusiastic, reflective and eager to grow into an excellent teacher
- Shows commitment to high standards, teamwork and whole-school values
- Can build positive relationships with young people and inspire them to participate and achieve
- Wants to develop their teaching practice through high-quality mentoring and training
Training & Progression with Grad2Teach
This role follows Grad2Teach’s fully salaried, two-phase teacher training model:
Phase One – Level 4 & Foundational Training
- Complete your Level 4 NCFE customised qualification while working in school
- Training aligned to the Core Content Framework (CCF) and Teachers' Standards
- Learn through guided practice, observations, professional learning sessions and in-school experience
Phase Two – PGCE & QTS
Subject to successful progression, Phase Two includes:
- Independent teaching responsibility (up to 18 hours a week)
- Completion of a PGCE with QTS through Coventry University (NITE)
- Ongoing mentoring, assessment and development towards meeting all Teachers’ Standards
This structured progression ensures you gain the skills, confidence and accreditation needed to begin your career as a fully qualified PE teacher.
