About the Role
A High-Achieving and Inclusive Secondary School in London
This opportunity is based at a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school for students aged 11-18, located in the heart of London. The school serves a diverse and ambitious student population and is committed to academic excellence, inclusion, and the development of well-rounded, future-ready learners.
The school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its dedicated staff team. Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout the school day.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or aspiring teachers who are considering a career in education and want to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing teacher training.
About the Role

- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task with their learning
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and behaviour
- Support students with questions or clarifications during lessons, as appropriate
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities or interventions when not covering lessons
This is a rewarding and dynamic role that requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a calm, authoritative presence in the classroom.
