Grad2Teach have been asked to train Graduates in any discipline for a Secondary school in Enfield, for one of our favourite schools in the area. The role of Trainee Secondary school Teacher will on Phase One of our Training Programme and is due to start in January 2022. The position of Trainee Secondary school teacher would be suitable for University Graduates with some experience working in the education sector.

This is an all-girls school that has been rated by Ofsted as a 'Good' school. They have a dedicated team of staff and governors that work hard to maintain high expectations and pastoral support that lead to the best possible standards. Students are encouraged to develop independent learning skills that will benefit them when they progress to their thriving Sixth Form and if they go on to University. The recently appointed headteacher and the other senior leaders have a good capacity to secure and sustain the further improvements the school requires. All of our training takes place during the half-term holidays. This means you can work at your school full-time, earn a full-time salary, and train to be a qualified teacher at the same time! You do not need prior school experience to train, but you will need:

Candidates with previous job titles and experience including; Teaching Graduate, Trainee Teacher, ITT, Initial Teacher Training, PGCE, Teacher Training, Primary Teacher Training, Secondary Teacher Training, Graduate Teacher, may also be considered.
To be eligible for this programme you must meet the following requirements:
Have determination, resilience and a patient, caring attitude.
Have a relevant, university degree with a minimum of a 2:2 classification.
Have at least one year of experience in a UK classroom
Have the confidence and ability to lead the class.
Be able to demonstrate your resilience.
Be able to train across all key stages to broaden your skillset.
How will Grad2Teach support you?
With Grad2Teach you will work to complete a one- or two-year course, achieving a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). You will gain experience working in at least two schools, earning a salary as you train. Upon passing the course, you will have completed your PGCE and be a qualified teacher with QTS.
Grad2Teach offer all your training by experienced school leaders, including coaching and mentoring to ensure that you are fully supported to reach the Teachers’ Standards successfully, while earning a salary and doing what you love.
In Year 1, you will:
Receive Grad2Teach-funded training while you work in our 37-week school-based programme
Gain invaluable insight into classroom management
Receive 24/7 support from our friendly team
Receive three Quality Assessments from one of our trainers in your employer school
Develop an understanding of what it means to be a great teacher
In Year 2, you will:
Attend 9 training days at one of our partner universities
Complete 3 written assessments reflecting on your experience and what you’ve learnt so far
Cover up to 90% of timetabled learning within a classroom
Work under a dedicated learning mentor who will guide and advise you along your journey
Experience two contrasting school placements, allowing you to broaden your experience and cover a range of issues that may not be present at every school
Grad2Teach offers you:
£14,000 - £20,000 salary
Full PGCE with 60 Masters credits
QTS with the Coventry University – National School of Education and Teaching
Full time for two years
